Nationally and even internationally, Chicago and Illinois are known for questionable elections. 

The use of increasingly complex computerized machines has changed how elections are conducted on all levels.  Politicians pushed these changes through without ensuring sufficient controls are in place securing our vote.

Dr. Roger Johnston and Argonne National Laboratory is forefront in the movement to deal with the security and vulnerability of election equipment.  Defend the Vote brings this question specifically to Illinois elections. 

Dr. Johnston and Defend the Vote are now working to make changes in Illinois election security before the November elections. Join us on Thursday at Liberty Hall.

Dr. Johnston is responsible for explosive research establishing voting machines can be hacked with just $10.50 in parts and an 8th grade science education. Hacks like this could change voting results without leaving a trace of evidence.  To understand the scope of the problem, please spend 15 minutes and watch this video.
